Nonsense on Stilts could not have been possible without the help of my son, Matthew. Matthew is something of a prodigy. At eighteen months of age, he has yet to make a single utterance that is not in the form of HTML code.
Now while this has been extremely useful in putting this web site together, it has been rather trying for his mother and me. After all, you would think that at a year and a half, he would be able to express his needs and desires, but all we get from him is code. It's especially bad around nap time, he'll forget a crucial closing tag and disappear completely.
The Nonsense on Stilts logo was designed by myself, but skillfully rendered by a friend Tom Ebelt. The face in the logo was from a piece of clip art from a fine series of books entitled Mostly Happy! Clip Art of the Thirties, Forties, & Fifties, selected and edited Jerry Jankowski and published by Art Direction Book Company, 10 East 39th Street, New York, NY 10016. (Tom had rendered a perfectly fine face per my instructions, but as I was using other pieces from these publications, I wanted there to be consistency of style.)
Special thanks go to my wife Mary, Geoff Young, and Sandra Tokashiki for proofreading this. Geoff and Sandra also publish a literary zine called nerve.
